Workshop Flat Panel Displays
Before the technical sessions start on wednesday, the Institute of Large Area Microelectronics will offer a two day hands-on workshop in its clean room starting on monday in the week of the conference.
Participants will build their own seven-segment digital clock display (TN-LCD). This unique workshop incorporates
- ITO sputtering
- Photo lithograpy
- Plasma treatment
- Orientation layer preparation
- Cell assembly
- Vacuum filling
Afterwards a simple addressing circuit is attached to the fabricated displays. Each participant can keep his/her self-made desktop clock.
The workshop will take place at the Institute of Large Area Microelectronic's Building located at Allmandring 3b (see map below).
